2000-06 - Licensing framework policy for new digital pay and specialty services. Summary – This notice sets out a framework for licensing new digital Canadian programming services. The framework will enhance diversity and choice for viewers, in the current and evolving digital distribution environment.
2000-07 - Revised lists of eligible satellite services. The list of Part 3 eligible satellite services appended to this notice has been amended. The Part 2 list and the list of DTH eligible services are appended for convenience. These three lists supersede the lists appended to Public Notice CRTC 1999-166-1 dated 15 October 1999.

2000-09 - Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Gaspé, Quebec. To amend the broadcasting licence of the French-language radio programming undertaking CBFX-FM Montréal. The CBC proposes to add an FM stereo transmitter at Gaspé, operating on frequency 90.1 MHz (channel 211B) with an effective radiated power of 2,160 watts, to distribute "La Chaîne culturelle". 2000-18 - Call for applications for a licence to provide a French-language specialty arts service
2000-19 - Native Communication Inc., Hollow Water Indian Reserve, MB. The licensee proposes to add a transmitter at Hollow Water Indian Reserve operating on the frequency 93.5 MHz (channel 228 LP) with an effective radiated power of 23.1 watts. The proposal would require an amendment to the broadcasting licence for CINC-FM Thompson. Deadline for intervention: 9 March 2000.
2000-21 - CKDU-FM Society, Halifax, Nova Scotia. To amend the licence of the campus community radio CKDU-FM Halifax, by changing the frequency from 97.5 MHz (channel 248LP) to 88.1 MHz (channel 201A) and by increasing the effective radiated power from 33 to 520 watts. 2000-24 - RADIO 1540 LIMITED TORONTO, Ontario. To amend the broadcasting licence fo the radio programming undertaking CHIN-FM Toronto, by adding a condition of licence authorizing the licensee to use a Subsidiary Communications Multiplex Operations (SCMO) channel for the purpose of distributing a 24 hour per day Tamil and English language service. (Ram) proposes to distribute the signals of CKEM-TV (IND) Edmonton, Alberta and CJON-TV (CTV) St. John's, Newfoundland, on the discretionary tier of the Ram cable system serving Brooks. Medicine Hat, Alberta, Monarch Cablesystems Ltd. (Monarch) proposes to distribute the signals of CKEM-TV (IND) Edmonton, Alberta, CICT-TV (IND) Calgary, Alberta and CJON-TV (CTV) St. John's, Newfoundland, on the discretionary tier of the Monarch cable system serving Medicine Hat. 2000-34 - The Haliburton Broadcasting Group Inc., Bracebridge, Ontario. To amend the broadcasting licence for CFBG-FM Bracebridge, by changing the frequency from 100.9 MHz (channel 265A) to 99.5 MHz (channel 258C1) and by increasing the effective radiated power from 2,900 to 100,000 watts. Deadline for intervention: 10 April 2000.
2000-35 - CJCD Radio Limited, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The Commission announces that it has approved, by Letter of Authority A00-0007 dated 14 February 2000, a change to the effective control of CJCD Radio Limited, licensee of radio programming undertaking CJCD Yellowknife, through the transfer of all the shares held by Okanagan Skeena Group Limited to Sasha's Jewellery & Giftware Limited.

2000-38 - Increasing the availability of minority official language specialty services to cable subscribers across Canada - Call for comments on a proposed policy
2000-38-1 - Suspension of process with respect to minority official language specialty services. In Public Notice CRTC 2000-38 dated 10 March 2000, the Commission called for comments on a proposed policy with respect to the specialty services available to cable subscribers across Canada. Comments were to be received by the Commission not later than 10 May 2000.
2000-39 - Image Wireless Communications Inc. proposes to add a transmitter east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and at Veregin, Saskatchewan, to ensure service in areas not well covered by existing transmitters. Deadline for intervention: 18 April 2000.
2000-40 - The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) proposes to add an FM radio transmitter at Clarenville, Newfoundland, to offer the programming of CBN St. John's Radio One service, and at Campbellton, New Brunswick, to offer the programming of CBAL-FM Moncton (La Chaîne culturelle). Deadline for intervention: 20 April 2000.
2000-41 - Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Amendment of the broadcasting licence of radio station CBF-FM Montréal, Quebec, to improve the service of "La Première Chaîne" provided by CBF-FM in Greater Montréal, particularly in the outlying Metropolitan areas. Deadline for intervention: 5 April 2000.
2000-42 - Certification for Canadian Programs - A revised approach.
2000-43 - The Sports Network (TSN), Across Canada. To amend the broadcasting licence for the national English-language specialty programming undertaking. The licence held by TSN for the national English-language specialty programming undertaking is currently subject to conditions of licence related to industry codes on gender portrayal and the depiction of violence. This application requests that the current conditions be replaced by "suspensive" conditions on the same matters, meaning that the application of the conditions would be suspended, so long as TSN remains a member in good standing of the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council. The requested change requires an amendment to TSN's licence to replace conditions of licence #7 and #9. Deadline for intervention: 25 April 2000.
2000-44 - Call for comments - Proposed regulatory amendments for the purpose of implementing certain aspects of the revised policies for campus radio and community radio, and incorporating revised content categories for radio.
2000-45 - TRI TEL Communications Inc. To amend the broadcasting licence for CJWL-FM Iroquois Falls, Ontario, by changing the frequency from 104.9 MHz (channel 285LP) to 101.1 MHz (channel 266LP). Deadline date for interventions: 25 April 2000.
2000-46 - Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Fermont, Quebec. The CBC proposes to add an FM radio transmitter at Fermont to offer the programming of CBSI-FM Sept-Îles (la Première Chaîne). Radio Communautaire MF Lac Simon Inc., Lac-Simon (Louvicourt), Quebec. This application is a request to amend the broadcasting licence of radio station CHUT-FM Lac-Simon. Deadline for intervention: 28 April 2000.
2000-47 - Call for applications for a broadcasting licence to carry on a radio programming undertaking to serve Calgary, Alberta. Deadline for a letter of intent no later than 25 April 2000, followed by a formal application no later than 23 May 2000.
2000-48 - Call for applications for a broadcasting licence to carry on a radio programming undertaking to serve Vancouver, British Columbia. Deadline of a letter of intent no later than 25 April 2000, followed by a formal application no later than 23 May 2000.
2000-49 - Fort St. James Television Society, Fort St. James, British Columbia. To make a variety of changes to the television services available from the (radiocommunication) distribution undertaking serving Fort St. James.
2000-50 - Genex Communications Inc., Donnacona, Quebec City, Quebec. To amend the broadcasting licence of radio station CKNU-FM Donnacona by decreasing the effective radiated power from 3,100 watts to 2,200 watts; by moving the transmitter site from Donnacona to Mont-Bélair located at Val-Bélair to provide better service to the Quebec City market and by being authorized to solicit advertising outside the Portneuf region. The current condition of licence which prevents it from doing so should then be removed.
2000-51 - Bell ExpressVu – Service to multiple-unit dwellings. In Public Notice CRTC 1999-199 dated 21 December 1999, the Commission sought comments on a proposal by Bell ExpressVu Inc. and BCE Inc., the partners in a limited partnership known as Bell ExpressVu.
2000-55 - Affinity Radio Group Inc. on behalf of Blackburn Group Incorporated, Leamington, Sarnia, Wingham, and Centreville, Ontario. Change to the effective control of Blackburn Radio Inc. and Sarnia Broadcasters (1993) Ltd., through the transfer of all of the issued and outstanding shares held by Blackburn Group Incorporated, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Blackburn Radio and Sarnia Broadcasters being transferred to Radiont Inc. Affinity Radio Group Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Radiont Inc. Radiont Inc. will also, indirectly, acquire the 23.08% interest that Blackburn Radio holds in Bea-Ver Communications Inc. The affected radio stations are CHYR-FM in Leamington, CFGX-FM, CHKS-FM and CHOK in Sarnia, as well as CKNX and CKNX-FM in Wingham and the transmitter CKNX-FM-2 in Centreville.

2000-58 - Câble-Axion Québec inc. on behalf of Câblo-Rouge inc., Pont-Rouge, Quebec - Transfer of control and shares - The Commission announces that it has approved, by Letter of Authority A00-0029 dated 7 April 2000, a change to the effective control of Câblo-Rouge inc., licensee of the cable distribution undertaking serving Pont-Rouge, through the transfer of all the shares held by Câblo-Rouge inc. to Câble-Axion Québec inc.
2000-59 - National Broadcast Reading Service Inc. (VoicePrint), Across Canada. This application is a request to: amend the VoicePrint licence to allow distribution of the VoicePrint service as a "Secondary Audio Program" (SAP) service; direct Class 1 and Class 2 Broadcasting Distribution Undertakings (this includes cable television, direct-to-home satellite and Multi-point Distribution System services) to distribute the VoicePrint Audio Programming Service in conjunction with the CBC Newsworld Programming Service as a SAP service; and to authorize a $0.01 per subscriber, per month rate for the carriage of the VoicePrint service to be paid to National Broadcast Reading Service Inc. on a "pass-through" basis. No mark-up would be available to Broadcasting Distribution Undertakings for carriage of this service.

While the proposal was received by the deadline of 12 January, the CCTA indicated it would be unable to file all of the required documentation before 12 February 2001. The Commission has approved the CCTA's request to extend the deadline until that date. The publication of all proposed additions to the lists originally planned for 26 January is therefore delayed.
