Further to its Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 2000-1 dated 18 February 2000 relating to its Public Hearing which will be held on 25 April 2000 at the Plaza 500 Hotel, 12th Avenue West, Vancouver, British Columbia, the Commission announces the following:

THE FOLLOWING APPLICATIONS ARE AMENDED AND THE CHANGES ARE UNDERLINED
Issue No. 1
A. WIC applications - 13 March 1998 transaction:
1. Application (199900923) by WIC for authority to effect a change in ownership. If authority is granted, Shaw or an affiliate would be permitted to hold directly or indirectly 372,902.5 of WIC’s class A voting shares. These shares, together with the shares already acquired from Daphne Holdings Ltd. (approximately 8%), would represent 49.96% of WIC’s voting interest;
2. Application (199902250) by WIC for authority to effect a change in ownership. If authority is granted, Shaw or an affiliate would be permitted to hold directly or indirectly 9,877,840 of WIC’s class B non-voting shares. This would represent approximately 52% of these shares.
The inverventions related to these applications which had been submitted further to the release of Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 1999-8, are now part of the public file and will be placed on the agenda of this public hearing.
Interveners who had already submitted interventions related to these applications further to Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 1999-8 may amend or withdraw them, but must advise the Commission and the applicant, and submit any amendments on or before 30 March 2000. Other interested parties may submit interventions concerning these applications on or before 30 March 2000.
