Application (200011891) by 3609294 CANADA INC., the general partner, and BCE INC., the limited partner, operating as Bell ExpressVu Limited Partnership (Bell ExpressVu).
This application is a request by Bell ExpressVu to amend the broadcasting licence of its national satellite relay distribution undertaking, by adding the signals of WCVB-TV (ABC), WBZ-TV (CBS) and WFXT-TV (FOX) Boston, Massachusetts, and KSTW-TV (IND) Tacoma, Washington and the Deutsche Welle Radio service to the list of signals that it is authorized to distribute.
The applicant is also requesting to add WFXT-TV (FOX) Boston, Massachusetts to the list of Part 2 Eligible Satellite Services, Section "A" and the list of Part 3 Eligible Satellite Services.

AMHERST, Nova Scotia
Application (200011528) by CENTRAL NOVA TOURIST ASSOCIATION.
The licence for the tourist information radio service CFNS-FM Amherst includes a condition of licence prohibiting the broadcast of advertising material. The applicant requests the replacement of that condition with one allowing the broadcast of a maximum of six minutes per hour of commercial messages.
In support of its request, the applicant stated that advertising funds would be used to support the tourist information service. Its advertisers would be primarily seasonal tourism operators, accomodation and restaurant operators, festivals and events organizers, promotional ads of the area, as well as promotional ads from its members, who are primarily tourism orientated.

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick
Application (200005448) by the CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION.
This application is a request to amend the broadcasting licence of radio station CBAF-FM Moncton (mother station) by increasing the effective radiated power of its transmitter CBAF-FM-4 Edmundston from 20,400 to 20,935 watts.
The Corporation recently replaced its transmission tower. These changes will enable the Corporation to improve reliability of its facilities. The coverage area of CBAF-FM-4 will remain unchanged.

Application (199807426) by LOOK COMMUNICATIONS INC. (Look) 1755 René-Lévesque Boulevard East, Suite 201, Montréal, Quebec, H2K 4P6.
The licensee proposes to add a transmitter at Covey Hill. The proposed transmitter would operate with an effective isotropic radiated power of 47.7 watts.
The addition of this transmitter would require an amendment to the authority granted in Decision CRTC 98-55 for Look’s (MDS) radiocommunication distribution undertaking.

The licensee proposes to add an FM radio transmitter at Hawkesbury operating on the frequency 107.7 MHz (channel 299A) with an effective radiated power of 1,850 watts to offer the programming of CIMF-FM Hull.
The proposal would require an amendment to the broadcasting licence for CIMF-FM.

The applicant proposes to add a low power FM radio transmitter at North Bay on the frequency 89.5 MHz (channel 208LP) with an effective radiated power of 33 watts to offer the programming of CJTK-FM Sudbury, a Christian music service.
The applicant indicates that approval of this application will improve the diversity of programming available to residents of North Bay.
The proposal would require an amendment to the broadcasting licence for CJTK-FM.

Image proposes to add a transmitter in Estevan to ensure service in areas not well covered by existing transmitters. The proposed transmitter would operate with an effective isotropic radiated power of 1.2 watts.
The addition of this transmitter will require an amendment to the licences of the MDS radiocommunication distribution undertaking held by Image.

MOOSE JAW, Saskatchewan
Application (199917408) by GOLDEN WEST BROADCASTING LTD., P.O. Box 950, Centre Avenue, Altona, Manitoba, R0G 0B0.
This application is a request to amend the broadcasting licence for its FM radio station at Moose Jaw approved in Decision CRTC 99-473, dated 19 October 1999.
The licensee proposes to move its transmitter approximately 35 kilometers northeast from its original site, to the CFRE-TV site near Disley, and to change the frequency from 93.7 MHz (channel 229C1) to 100.7 MHz (channel 264C).
The licensee has indicated that this proposed change would result in a substantial cost saving.
It is further noted that the proposed change would result in the city of Regina being completely encompassed by the applicant’s 3 mV/m contour.

Application (200011510) by WIC PREMIUM CORPORATION.
The applicant requests an amendment to the broadcasting licence of CFMI-FM Vancouver. The applicant is requesting permission to broadcast predominantly Tamil-language programming, using a Subsidiary Communications Multiplex Operations (SCMO) channel. Programming broadcast using an SCMO is not accessible with standard radio equipment, and requires instead the use of a special receiver.
The applicant's proposal would require the addition of a condition of licence.
The programming would be provided by Radio Asia Canada Inc.
