Transfer of control and shares |

The Commission announces that it has approved, by Letter of Authority A00-0103 dated 11 October 2000, a change to the effective control of Affinity Radio Group Inc., licensee of radio stations CHAM Hamilton, CHTZ-FM, CHRE-FM and CKTB St. Catharines, and CKLS London. |

The change is effected through the transfer of all of the issued and outstanding shares of Affinity Radio Group Inc. to Telemedia Radio Inc., a Canadian owned and controlled company. |

Regarding unfulfilled benefits, Telemedia confirmed that it "will fulfil the remaining portion of those benefits as committed by Affinity at the time of the original acquisitions." Consequently, the remaining portion of the benefits, as of 31 August 2000, is $350,400 for CHRE-FM and $222,750 for CHTZ-FM. In the case of CHAM, Telemedia is responsible for the remaining $46,000 of original benefit obligations as was committed to by Affinity in Decision CRTC 97-277, conditional upon CHAM achieving a positive operating income. |
