The Commission has received the following applications:

1. OAKVILLE/BURLINGTON, PART OF HAMILTON AND STONEY CREEK, PART OF HAMILTON, PART OF HAMILTON AND STONEY CREEK, PART OF HAMILTON AND DUNDAS, GRIMSBY, BEAMSVILLE, JORDON, VINELAND, FERGUS/ELORA, GEORGETOWN/ACTON AND SURROUNDING AREA, ROCKWOOD, Ontario
Applications (200000050, 200000513, 200000521, 200000539, 200000555, 200000563, 200000472, 200000547, 200000571) by COGECO CABLE SYSTEMS INC., CABLEWORKS COMMUNICATIONS INC. and HALTON CABLE SYSTEMS INC. under subsection 17(1) of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations (the regulations).
Under the priority carriage rules set out in the regulations, Cogeco Cable, Cableworks Communications and Halton Cable are required to carry both CFPL-TV (IND) London and CKVR-TV (IND) Barrie, on the cable systems serving the communities noted above.
The applicants have applied for a condition of licence to cease the distribution of the signal CFPL-TV London, a Canadian television station licensed to CHUM Limited, as part of the analog basic service and to offer the signal as part of the digital basic service for the above noted locations.
Cogeco Cable and Cableworks Communications also request to be allowed to substitute CKVR-TV (Barrie), an extra-regional station, for a non-Canadian station when both stations are broadcasting identical programming. This requires a condition of licence under section 7 of the regulations.
The Commission notes that CHUM Limited support both requests.

Intervention

- the intervention may be filed with the Commission by electronic mail at the following e-mail address: procedure@crtc.gc.ca and should indicate if a true copy has been sent to the applicant. Each paragraph of the document should be numbered. In addition, as an indication that the document has not been damaged during electronic transmission, the line ***End of document*** should be entered following the last paragraph of each document. However, your intervention and the proof of service to the applicant will also have to be filed in hard copy;

- please note, that only the documents (applications and interventions) electronically filed will be available on the Commission’s web site. You will be able to access these documents by indicating the public notice or the notice of public hearing number;

- the intervention must be received by the CRTC and by the applicant ON OR BEFORE the deadline date indicated below. The Commission cannot be held responsible for postal delays;
