The Commission has received the following application:
1. ACROSS CANADA
Application (200015372) by ABORIGINAL PEOPLES TELEVISION NETWORK (APTN) to amend the national Aboriginal programming network licence of APTN.
1. To lower the amount of Canadian content from 90% to 70%. The amended condition of licence #2 would read:
The licensee must devote not less than 70% of the broadcast year and not less than 70% of the evening broadcast period to the broadcasting of Canadian programs.
2. To amend its licence by adding a condition of licence permitting it to exceed the regulatory limit of twelve minutes per hour of advertising material during the broadcast day. The new condition of licence would read:
In addition to the 12 minutes of advertising material permitted by subsection 11(1) of the Television Broadcasting Regulations, 1987, the licensee may broadcast infomercials as defined in Public Notice CRTC 1994-139 and in accordance with the criteria contained in that public notice, as amended in Public Notice CRTC 1995-93 dated 13 June 1995.

Intervention
