2004-07-15 - Décision de télécom CRTC 2004-47 Le Conseil établit un processus de notification applicable à Aliant Telecom Inc., Bell Canada, MTS Communications Inc., Saskatchewan Telecommunications et Télébec, Limited Partnership (collectivement, Bell Canada et autres), ainsi qu'à TELUS Communications Inc. et TELUS Communications (Québec) Inc. (collectivement, TCI) dans les cas où, dans une collectivité, elles prévoient retirer les derniers téléphones payants. Le Conseil conclut que Bell Canada et autres, ainsi que TCI exercent une discrimination injuste à l'endroit des consommateurs sourds dans la fourniture de services de téléphones payants, et contreviennent ainsi au paragraphe 27(2) de la Loi sur les télécommunications . Le Conseil ordonne à Bell Canada et autres ainsi qu'à TCI de mettre en œuvre le programme d'installation de téléscripteurs pour certains téléphones payants.
