Submitting a notice of publication to the CRTC
The Accessible Canada Act (ACA) and the CRTC Accessibility Reporting Regulations (the Regulations) require regulated service providers to notify the CRTC within 48 hours of publishing their feedback process description, accessibility plan and progress reports.
Note that the notice must include the URL of the published accessibility document.
Notice to Commission
To submit your notice:
- Access the Forms and My CRTC Account page.
- Select the Broadcasting and Online News Act Cover Page or Telecom Cover Page as applicable.
- Log in either through your GCKey account or through a Sign-in Partner.
- Enter the relevant information for your organization (name, address, etc.).
In addition, please follow these steps for the submission. Consistent formatting fosters efficiency and discoverability to the benefit of all stakeholders, given the volume of ACA submissions the CRTC anticipates over time.
- For the type of submission, select “Other document(s)”;
- Enter the following details for the “Description of Information Submitted”:
- ACA, Feedback Process Description OR Initial Accessibility Plan OR First Progress Report
- Entity Name: Enter the legal name of your entity and, if different, the business or brand name. In this instance, the format would be <Legal Name (Brand Name)>.
- Date: Enter the deadline provided above in the format YYYY-MM-DD.
- Version: Enter the version of the document stating with “1” and increasing for subsequent versions.
- Amendment #, Date: Identify the first amendment and increment as necessary for subsequent amendments. The format for the date should be YYYY-MM-DD
- Example: ACA, Feedback Process Description, Wireless ABC Corp. (ABC Corp.), 2022-06-01, Version 1; Amendment 1 (2023-04-15)
