throttling
- Definition
- In the context of Internet traffic management, throttling can broadly be defined as slowing down the transfer rates of traffic by delaying certain data packets at certain points in the network. Traffic throttling can be used in any scenario where it is necessary or desirable to limit the amount of data that can be sent or received per unit time.
