Key reports and data on official language minority communities (OLMCs)

Data are essential to understanding the unique needs and realities of official language minority communities (OLMCs). They enable the CRTC to better achieve its commitment to enhancing their vitality and supporting their development across Canada. This page features reports and data specifically related to OLMCs or relevant to their interests.

The data are drawn from multiple surveys, including the joint CRTC-Statistics Canada Quarterly Survey, the CRTC Facilities Survey, the CRTC Communications Pricing Survey, as well as economic data from Statistics Canada. The CRTC also gathers data directly from the broadcasting industry, through its mandatory Data Collection System (DCS) survey.
