2011-07-12 - Alberta Association of the Deaf
Description: The Alberta Association of the Deaf’s Video Relay Services (VRS) Task Force and British Columbia VRS committee (BCVRS) extend TELUS a congratulatory note for a successful 12-month trial, CRTC 2009-430 ending June 30, 2011.  Such trial has allowed Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals in both Alberta and British Columbia to participate in high technology of telecommunications using videophones and ASL interpreters.  The extension of the trial, CRTC 2011-384 is presently allowing TELUS to collect more comprehensive data in preparation for an anticipated implementation in near future.  We also anticipate the outcome of BELL’s feasibility study.
