2007-12-24 - Bell Canada and Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership
Description: In Decision 2007-124, dated 7 December 2007, the Commission approved the use of an exogenous adjustment of $1.4M per year for a three-year period by Bell Canada to permit the recovery of Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership's (Bell Aliant's) and Bell Canada's (collectively, the Companies) net incremental operating costs associated with the implementation of expanded local calling areas (ELCAs) for the cities of Ottawa, Gatineau, and Hamilton.   The Commission also directed Bell Canada to update its 2007 price cap filing, within 30 days of the date of the Decision, to reflect the allocation of these costs across the service baskets identified in the Decision, as per the methodology set out in that decision.
