The Commission received an application by Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom), dated 27 May 2004, to revise General Tariff item 618, Resale and Sharing, in order to require resellers, as a condition of resale, to: provide complete end-customer information and any changes to end-customer information within 30 days of the change for use in populating the 9-1-1 database and to abide by the same confidentiality provisions applicable to Canadian carriers. |

Aliant Telecom submitted that while the requirement to provide up to date customer information for use in populating the 9-1-1 database are in place with resellers of Aliant Telecom's local access services, this provision was not included as a tariff condition of resale. |

In Follow-up to Order CRTC 2000-500 - Provision of reseller end-customer information, Order CRTC 2000-1048, 22 November 2000 (Order 2000-1048), the Commission directed the incumbent local exchange carriers to issue revised resale tariffs that required local resellers, as a condition of resale, to provide complete end-customer information and any changes to end-customer information within 30 days of the change for use in populating the 9-1-1 database. |

In Follow-up to Telecom Decision CRTC 2003-33 - Confidentiality provisions of Canadian carriers, Telecom Decision CRTC 2004-27, 22 April 2004 (Decision 2004-27), the Commission directed the Canadian carriers, as a condition of providing telecommunications services, to include in their service contracts or other arrangements with resellers the requirement that resellers abide by the terms approved in Confidentiality provisions of Canadian carriers, Telecom Decision CRTC 2003-33, 30 May 2003, as amended by Telecom Decision CRTC 2003-33-1, 11 July 2003, and previous determinations. |

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application. |

The Commission notes that the proposed revisions comply with the Commission's directives in Decision 2004-27 and Order 2000-1048. |

The Commission approves Aliant Telecom's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order. |
