NOTICE OF CHANGE
RELATING TO A
PUBLIC HEARING
TORONTO, ONTARIO
14 APRIL 1997, 9:00 A.M.
Further to its Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 1997-2 dated 7 February 1997 relating to its public hearing commencing on 14 April 1997, at the Holiday Inn on King, 370 King Street West, Toronto, Ontario, the Commission announces the following:
THE FOLLOWING ITEM IS WITHDRAWN FROM THE PUBLIC HEARING AND POSTPONED TO A PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD ON 14 JULY 1997
This will allow the Commission to hear these applications together with other applications filed by Baton Broadcasting Incorporated, BBS Ontario Incorporated and CHUM Limited relating to an exchange of assets in Ontario and the Maritime provinces.
It should be noted that all interventions received concerning these applications will remain on the public file and be considered by the Commission in the context of the 14 July 1997 public hearing.

PHASE I
A) Application (199700521) by TV WEST INC., 9 Channel Nine Court, Scarborough, Ontario, M1S 4B5, licensee of CFCN-TV Calgary, CFCN-TV-5 Lethbridge, Alberta, CFQC-TV Saskatoon, CKCK-TV Regina, CIPA-TV/CKBI-TV Prince Albert and CKOS-TV/CICC-TV Yorkton, Sask. and their respective transmitters for authority to transfer effective control of TV West through the transfer of Electrohome Limited's 50% interest in TV West Inc. to Baton Broadcasting Incorporated.
B) Application (199700539) by SOUTH WEST ONTARIO TELEVISION INC., 9 Channel Nine Court, Scarborough, Ontario, M1S 4B5, licensee of CKCO-TV Kitchener, CKCO-TV-2 Wiarton, CKCO-TV-3 Oil Springs, CFPL-TV London, CKNX-TV Wingham and CHWI-TV Wheatley, Ontario and their respective transmitters for authority to transfer effective control of South West Ontario Television Inc. through the transfer of Electrohome Limited's 50% interest in South West Ontario Television Inc. to Baton Broadcasting Incorporated.
C) Applications (199700547, 199700555, 199700563, 199700571) by BATON BROADCASTING INCORPORATED, 9 Channel Nine Court, Scarborough, Ontario. M1S 4B5 for authority to acquire the assets and for broadcasting licences to continue the operation of the (television) programming undertakings CFRN-TV Edmonton, CFRN-TV-4 Ashmont, CFRN-TV-6 Red Deer and CFRN-TV-3 Whitecourt, Alberta and their respective transmitters, upon surrender of the current licences issued to Electrohome Limited, under the same terms and conditions as the current licences.
D) Application (199700779) by VANCOUVER TELEVISION INC, 9 Channel Nine Court, Scarborough, Ontario, M1S 4B5, licensee of the television station recently licensed for Vancouver for authority to transfer effective control of Vancouver Television Inc. through the transfer of Electrohome Limited's 50% interest in Vancouver Television Inc. to Baton Broadcasting Incorporated.

A) Applications (199700589, 199700597, 199700605, 199700612) by TV WEST INC., 9 Channel Nine Court, Scarborough, Ontario, M1S 4B5, for authority to acquire the assets and for broadcasting licences to continue the operation of the (television) programming undertakings CFRN-TV Edmonton, CFRN-TV-4 Ashmont, CFRN-TV-6 Red Deer and CFRN-TV-3 Whitecourt, Alberta and their respective transmitters, upon surrender of the licences issued to Baton Broadcasting Incorporated, under the same terms and conditions.
