Further to its Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 1996-15 dated 17 December 1996 relating to its public hearing commencing on 24 February 1997, at the Hôtel du Parc, 3625 du Parc Avenue, Montréal, Quebec, the Commission announces the following:

Application (199616505) by the CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION for a broadcasting licence to carry on an English-language (radio) programming undertaking at Montréal, operating on a frequency of 88.5 MHz (channel 203 B) with an effective radiated power of 4,040 watts, upon surrender of the current licence issued for CBM Montréal.

The Commission will only proceed with this application at the Public Hearing if advised by the Department of Industry, at least ten days prior to the hearing, that it is technically acceptable.
