Further to its Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 1996-15 dated 17 December 1996 relating to its public hearing commencing on 24 February 1997, at the Hôtel du Parc, 3625 du Parc Avenue, Montréal, Quebec, the Commission announces the following:

Application (199616489) by RADIO NORD INC., 171 Jean-Proulx Street, P.O. Box 4010, Hull, Quebec, J8Z 1W5, for a broadcasting licence to carry on a French-language FM (radio) programming undertaking at Montréal, operating on a frequency of 95.1 MHz (channel 236 B) with an effective radiated power of 19,500 watts.

The Commission notes that this application is technically mutually exclusive with other applications scheduled at this hearing for the use of the 95.1 MHz frequency.

The Commission will only proceed with this application at the Public Hearing if advised by the Department of Industry, at least ten days prior to the hearing, that it is technically acceptable.
