NTTF030.docx - 42KB - On January 19, 2012 the Commission issued Telecom Regulatory Policy CRTC 2012-24; Network Interconnection for Voice Services. In this Decision, the Commission decided it is in the public interest to establish a set of principles to facilitate IP voice network interconnections between network operators while allowing market forces to shape the details of the arrangements. The Commission also requested parties provide a list of activities they felt should be addressed by CISC in relation to IP voice network interconnections. This TIF addressed three of six activities assigned to the NTWG. TIF is on hold awaiting conclusion of CRTC NG-911 proceedings and ESWG requirements. This TIF will remain open to address any specific technical questions related to this topic. Revised 13 June 2018.

Develop test plans for signalling protocols between network components to address technical issues such as call flow, quality of service, and security. 2. Develop questionnaires that could be used to obtain pertinent information about IP voice network interconnection trials. Report NTRE051 approved by CISC on 19 July 2012. Completed 17 July 2012.
