Fibernetics filed Tariff Notice No. 6A (“TN6A”) on September 17, 2012. In these Tariff Notices, Fibernetics proposes (among other things) to remove Item 201.1 of its CLEC tariff, which is entitled“Termination of Traffic from Exchanges within ILEC Local Calling Area.” Item 201.1 of Fibernetics’ tariff corresponds with Item 201.1 of the Commission’s Model CLEC Tariff.

Description: Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada (collectively, the Companies) are in receipt of Fibernetics Corporation (Fibernetics) Tariff Notice No. 6 (Fibernetics TN 6), originally submitted on 21 August 2012 and subsequently revised and re-submitted on 31 August 2012. In this TN Fibernetics requests that the Commission approve changes to its tariff to reflect changes to the CLEC Model Tariff that have not yet been reflected in Fibernetics' Tariff and to approve Fibernetics' request to discontinue offering Item 201.2 – Termination of traffic from exchanges within ILEC local calling area (referred to throughout these comments as Fibernetics' EAS Termination service). Pursuant to the Companies' 13 September 2012 letter regarding Fibernetics TN 6, for the reasons provided below, the Companies are opposed to Fibernetics' request to withdraw their EAS Termination service.
