Application concerning the implementation of the interim CDNA regime

2003/08/29 - Telecom Decision CRTC  2003-60  - Part VII application by Call-Net Enterprises Inc. with respect to the Interim Competitor Digital Network Access service. The Commission directs all ILECs to adopt the pro-rated approach to determine the charges used to migrate an existing CDNA-eligible circuit and associated link from the Digital Network Access service tariff to the interim CDNA service tariff. The Commission further finds that, where a new CDNA-eligible facility is required, the circuit must be installed in a segregated fashion. Reference: 8661-C25-200304858

Description: Call-Net's Application ostensibly seeks to clarify the "widely divergent interpretations of the Commission's determinations" regarding the implementation of interim CDNA service. However, Call-Net also takes this opportunity to argue for the relaxation of the existing restrictions the Commission has put in place surrounding the eligible uses of CDNA service which, if implemented, would result in the virtually unfettered use of CDNA service.
