Notes: An analysis of some research findings concerning the role of women in broadcasting. It criticizes hiring and employment practices in the television industry which, it is alleged, has led to a reduction in employment opportunities for women, except in less influential positions. It also criticizes the image of women as it is presented in both program and commercial content.
