Opening of Hearing at 11:00 a.m.
Chairperson: Order please.
Good morning and welcome to this hearing of the Commission. My name is Christianne Laizner, Vice-Chairperson for Telecommunications and I will chair this hearing. With me on the panel are my colleagues, Ellen Desmond, Commissioner for Atlantic Region and Nunavut, and Nirmala Naidoo, Commissioner for Alberta and the Northwest Territories. Sonia Gravelle will be the Hearing Secretary and Courtney Fitzpatrick will be the Legal Counsel. I will invite the Hearing Secretary to present the items on the agenda for today. Madam Secretary?
Secretary: Thank you.
On 22 March 2021, the Commission published Broadcasting Notice of Consultation CRTC 2021-114. The Commission also published 2021-114-1 on 26 March 2021. The applications referenced in these notices are being considered today without the appearance of the parties.
The Commission has received interventions for some of the applications and they have been placed on the public file for this hearing.
