Providing Content in Canada's Official Languages
Please note that the Official Languages Act requires that government publications be available in both official languages.
In order to meet some of the requirements under this Act, the Commission's transcripts will therefore be bilingual as to their covers, the listing of CRTC members and staff attending the hearings, and the table of contents.
However, the aforementioned publication is the recorded verbatim transcript and, as such, is transcribed in either of the official languages, depending on the language spoken by the participant at the hearing.

Chairperson: Order please.
Good morning ladies and gentlemen and welcome to this hearing of the Commission. My name is Ian Scott, Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer and I will chair this hearing. With me on the panel are my colleagues, Caroline Simard, Vice-Chairperson, Broadcasting and Monique Lafontaine, Commissioner for Ontario. Jade Roy will be the Hearing Secretary and Julia Kelen will be our Legal Counsel. Madame la Secrétaire, quels sont les articles à l’ordre du jour aujourd’hui?
Secretary: Merci Monsieur le Président.
On 8 May 2018, the Commission published Broadcasting Notice of Consultation CRTC 2018-154. The applications referenced in this notice are being considered today without the appearance of the parties. The Commission has received interventions for some of the applications and they have been placed on the public file for this hearing.
Thank you Mr. Chairman.
Chairperson: Thank you. Any questions from the panel members?
Caroline J. Simard: No questions.
Monique Lafontaine: No questions.
Chairperson: I should emphasize that the matters that form part of the Agenda will be given full consideration by the hearing panel and decisions will be released in due course after consultation with the full Commission. This therefore concludes today's hearing. I wish to thank my colleagues, Legal Counsel and the Hearing Secretary for their assistance. The hearing is now adjourned.
Secretary: Thank you Mr. Chairman.
The hearing adjourned at 11:10 a.m.
