Opening of Hearing at 11:00 a.m.
Chair: À l'ordre s'il vous plaît. Good morning ladies and gentlemen and welcome to this hearing of the Commission. My name is Christianne Laizner, Vice-Chairperson for Telecommunications and I will chair this hearing. With me on the panel are my colleagues, Monique Lafontaine, Commissioner for Ontario and Joanne T. Levy, Commissioner for Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Cindy Ventura will be the Hearing Secretary and Yael Wexler will be our Legal Counsel. Madame Secretary, what are the items on the agenda today?
Secretary: Thank you Madam Chair.
On 4 October 2018, the Commission published Broadcasting Notice of Consultation CRTC 2018-388. The Commission also published 2018-388-1 on 19 October 2018. The applications referenced in these notices are being considered today without the appearance of the parties.
The Commission has received interventions for some of the applications and they have been placed on the public file for this hearing.
