Providing Content in Canada's Official Languages
Please note that the Official Languages Act requires that government publications be available in both official languages.
In order to meet some of the requirements under this Act, the Commission's transcripts will therefore be bilingual as to their covers, the listing of CRTC members and staff attending the hearings, and the table of contents.
However, the aforementioned publication is the recorded verbatim transcript and, as such, is transcribed in either of the official languages, depending on the language spoken by the participant at the hearing.

----------

--- Opening of Public Hearing at 9:30 A.M.
CHAIRMAN: Order please, à l'ordre s'il vous plaît.
Good morning ladies and gentlemen and welcome to this public hearing of the Commission. My name is Len Katz, I am the Vice-Chairman, Telecommunications and I will chair this meeting. With me on the panel are my colleagues, Candice Molnar, regional Commissioners for Saskatchewan and Michel Morin, national Commissioner. Ms. Sylvie Bouffard will be the Secretary of this hearing and Ms. Moira Létourneau will be our legal counsel. Acting on her behalf is Bernard Montigny. Madam Secretary, what are the items on the agenda for today?
SECRETARY: Thank you, Mr. Chairman
On 9 May 2008, the Commission published Broadcasting Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 2008-6, indicating that 17 applications would be considered today without the appearance of the parties.
For the record, the Commission has received interventions for some of the applications and they have been placed on the public file for this public hearing.
Thank you, Mr. Chairman
CHAIRMAN: Any questions from the panel members?
CANDICE MOLNAR: No questions, Mr. Chairman
MICHEL MORIN: No questions, Mr. Chairman
CHAIRMAN: Thank you, Ms. Secretary. I should emphasize that matters that form part of the agenda will be given full consideration by the hearing panel and decisions will be released in due course after consultation with the full Commission. This concludes today's public hearing. I wish to thank my colleagues and Legal Counsel for their assistance. The hearing is now adjourned.
SECRETARY: Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
--- The hearing adjourned at 9:40 A.M.
