Providing Content in Canada's Official Languages
Please note that the Official Languages Act requires that government publications be available in both official languages.
In order to meet some of the requirements under this Act, the Commission's transcripts will therefore be bilingual as to their covers, the listing of CRTC members and staff attending the hearings, and the table of contents.
However, the aforementioned publication is the recorded verbatim transcript and, as such, is transcribed in either of the official languages, depending on the language spoken by the participant at the hearing.

----------

--- Opening of Public Hearing at 9:00 A.M.
CHAIR: Order please, à l'ordre s'il vous plaît.
Good morning ladies and gentlemen and welcome to this public hearing of the Commission. My name is Andrée Noël, I am the regional Commissioner for the province of Québec and I will chair this meeting. With me on the panel are my colleagues, Barbara Cram and Elizabeth Duncan, respectively regional Commissioners for Saskatchewan and Manitoba and for the Atlantic Provinces. I should emphasize that matters that form part of the agenda will be given full consideration by the hearing panel and decisions will be released in due course after consultation with the Commission. Ms. Jade Roy will be the Secretary of this hearing and Ms. Véronique Lehoux will be our legal counsel. Madam Secretary, which are the items on the agenda for today?
SECRETARY: Thank you, Madam Chair.
On 29 March, 10 April and 25 April 2007, the Commission published Broadcasting Notices of Public Hearing CRTC 2007-4, 2007-4-1 and 2007-4-2, indicating that 13 applications would be considered today.
The items on the agenda of today's public hearing are all non-appearing items.
The Commission has received interventions for some of the applications and they have been placed on the public file for this public hearing.
Thank you, Madam Chair.
CHAIR: Any questions from the panel members?
BARBARA CRAM: No questions, Madam Chair.
ELIZABETH DUNCAN: No questions, Madam Chair.
CHAIR: Thank
you, Madam Secretary.
I should point out that further to the Notices of Public Hearing, no party has requested to appear at
these proceedings and none has been requested to do so by the Commission. This,
therefore, concludes today's public hearing.
I wish to thank my colleagues and Legal Counsel for their
assistance. The hearing is now
adjourned.
SECRETARY: Thank you, Madam Chair.
--- The hearing adjourned at 9:15 A.M.
