Subject: Extension Request for Telecom Decision 2023-104^Footnote1: Updates to the Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) Model Tariff

Dear Diane Dolan:

In Telecom Decision 2023-104, the Commission approved the CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee Business Process Working Group’s (BPWG’s) consensus Task Identification Form report BPRE103b and requested that the BPWG continue its review and finalize the updates to the two CLEC model tariffs^Footnote2 and the CLEC User’s Guide and file final versions of these documents with the Commission for approval by 17 July 2023.

On 15 June 2023, the Commission received a request from the BPWG for an extension for filing the updates to 30 November 2023.

The BPWG submitted that, during the 8 June 2023 BPWG TIF 103 meeting, the sub-working group reviewed the work required to complete the updates. It identified that some tasks are complex and will require further investigation. The BPWG indicated that, due to competing priorities with work on BPWG TIF 96 – Migration to Transport Layer Security 1.3 and TIF 104 – Porting Verification, BPWG participants were unable to devote the time required to complete the updates by the 17 July 2023 deadline.

The Commission has reviewed the request and given the circumstances, approves the extension.  Accordingly, the Commission requests that the BPWG continue and finalize its review and updates to the two CLEC model tariffs and the CLEC User’s Guide and file final versions of these documents with the Commission for approval by 30 November 2023.
