RE: Information requested by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) – Service Outage Notifications

Dear Andre Arbour:

We acknowledge receipt of ISED’s request to share information regarding service outage notifications pursuant to s. 37(3) of the Telecommunications Act (the Act), and in accordance with the procedure outlined in s.14 of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) and ISED.

The CRTC’s Informatics team was able to successfully add urgenttelecomtelecomurgence@ised-isde.gc.ca to the auto forward list for outage reports. All future outage reports will be automatically forwarded to that email address. Further, all past outage reports that the Commission received will be sent to the urgenttelecomtelecomurgence@ised-isde.gc.ca email address.

Please be advised that the service outage information that will be shared with ISED is, with the exception of the information below, designated as confidential and shall be treated as confidential by ISED and protected from further disclosure in accordance with s. 39 of the Act and the provisions relating to the transfer and protection of information in section X of the MoU:
