Re: Broadcasting application 2018-0728-1 – CJNE-FM Radio Inc. – VF2212 Carrot River, SK
Dear Mr. Rudock,
This is in reference to the above-noted application by CJNE-FM Radio Inc. for a technical amendment to change the authorized service contours of the English-language commercial radio programming undertaking VF2212 Carrot River, SK.
In order to pursue the analysis of this application, please address the following.
- Staff notes that the following technical parameters for your present operation as given in Section 4 of your application (Form 303) are different from the values found in Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s broadcasting database: Class, Maximum Effective Radiated Power, Average Effective Radiated Power, Effective Height Above Average Terrain (EHAAT), North Antenna and North Transmitter Site Coordinates and West Antenna and West Transmitter Site Coordinates. Furthermore, in Section 4 of your application (Form 303), the Maximum Effective Radiated Power and EHAAT for your proposed operation are less than the required minimum operating parameters for a Class A station, as given in Section 3.1 of Broadcasting Procedures and Rules Part 3 (BPR-3).
Staff finds it necessary to obtain this information from the applicant in order to provide for a complete record and to make a determination with respect to the proposed technical amendment.
Please verify and provide updates if necessary.
New deadline
The information requested herein should be submitted to the Commission by no later than 13 November 2018, failing which, the application may be returned to be completed and resubmitted with the Commission should CJNE-FM Radio Inc. wish to pursue this proposal.
Please note that the intervention period for this proceeding will be re-opened for additional comments from all parties with respect to the new information only, as follows:
