Re: Part 1 application 2018-0542-5 to amend the technical parameters of CFUZ-FM Penticton, BC
Mr. Del Rizzo,
On 24 July 2018, the Commission received an application filed on behalf of Peach City Community Radio Society in order to seek approval to relocate the approved transmitter site for the yet unlaunched community radio station CFUZ-FM (Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2015-175) to a new location, approximately 1.6km further south of the originally approved location.
In order to pursue the analysis of the above noted application, please answer the following questions:
- Commission staff have examined the application and concluded that there appears to be a shift in the service contours suggesting a corresponding change in the population and households to be served. Therefore, please verify the estimates of the population within the service contours in Section 7. 2 of Form 303 and provide updates, if applicable.
- As stated in Appendix A of Form 303, please provide proof that your technical documents have been filed with the department of Industry, Science and Economic Development (ISED).
- As stated in Appendix B of Form 303, please provide a comparative map of the existing and proposed 3mV/m and 0.5 mV/m contours.
Deadline for response
The information requested herein should be received at the Commission no later than 9 August 2018, failing which, your application may be returned to be completed and resubmitted with the Commission should you wish to pursue this proposal.
The Commission requires that your response and/or other documents be submitted electronically by using the secured service “My CRTC Account” (Partner Log In or GCKey) and filling the “Broadcasting and Telecom Cover page” or the “Broadcasting Online Form and Cover Page” located on this web page. A copy of this letter and your reply should be added to your application to be made available for public examination.
Revised deadlines
In light of the information sought and in order to permit adequate public participation, the intervention deadline will be amended for intervenors to consult the additional information. As such, the timetable for the process has been revised as follows:

Revised Reply deadline: 10 September 2018
