Dear Madam/Sir,

Re: Notice of Consultation CRTC 2016-225 - Additional information on public file: TVO’s comments

Following the oral phase of the hearing announced in Broadcasting Notice of Consultation CRTC 2016-225, interested parties were given to 16 December 2016 in order to file submissions in reply to material contained on the public record. Applicants were then permitted to file final reply by no later than 6 January 2017.

In a letter dated 21 December 2016, TVO filed a procedural request to be allowed to file comments in relation to this proceeding. TVO did not intervene in this proceeding and was therefore not authorized to file final comments. However, TVO considered that certain comments made by Bell Media Inc. (Bell) during the oral phase of the proceeding were of direct concern to TVO and asked to clarify certain statements made by Bell.

The Commission announces that TVO’s comments have been placed on the public record of this proceeding. English-language ownership groups may take this information into account when submitting their reply. Please note that the date set out in Broadcasting Notice of Consultation CRTC 2016-225-5 for the applicants to file a final reply, remains January 6 2017.

Yours sincerely,

Danielle May-Cuconato
Secretary General
