Re: Application by Star Choice Television Network Incorporated – request for additional information with regard to the Part 1 process

Dear Sir,

This is regarding a request by Star Choice Television Network Incorporated (Shaw Direct), for a condition of licence to grant it an exception to section 45.1 of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations (the Regulations).

In order to continue processing this application in a timely fashion, please submit the following:

  1. We note that you provided a complete list of television stations that would form part of the basic service for each of the following areas: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, the Atlantic Provinces, the Northwest Territories and Yukon. On 15 February 2016, you revised the list to add the following areas: Southern Ontario, Eastern Ontario, North/Central Ontario, Western Quebec and Eastern Quebec. We noticed that these lists appear to have several duplicates.

The following tables list the call signs for the over-the-air (OTA) stations provided in your lists of stations to be distributed from 1 March 2016 to 30 November 2016 for each basic service, as understood by the Commission. For clarity, since the call sign is the same for both versions of a station (SD and HD), we only included each station once:
