Re: Accessibility of Telecommunications and Broadcasting Services, Regulatory Policy CRTC 2009-430
Dear Mr. Abbott and Mr. Henry:
On 26 July 2012 Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited partnership (Bell Aliant), Bell Canada and Télébec, société en commandite (Télébec) (collectively, the Companies) filed responses to interrogatories posed by Commission staff in a letter dated 25 May 2012 pertaining to the use, cost and rates of IP Relay and TTY Relay. While the Companies have provided responses to the interrogatories, further clarification is required:
- Please complete the Companies’ response to question 7 (The Companies (CRTC) 25May12-7 MRS). Provide the average annual statistics on the distribution of calls by the time of day for the Companies’ IP relay service. Where statistics reflect a partial year, indicate the time frame represented. Where possible, distinguish between residential and business traffic (based on call origin).
- Confirm if the response to question 5 (The Companies(CRTC)25May12-5 MRS and Bell Aliant-Atlantic(CRTC)25May12-5 MRS) includes the cost of providing relay services as per wholesale agreements with the companies listed in the response to question 3 (The Companies(CRTC)25May12-5 MRS and Bell Aliant-Atlantic(CRTC)25May12-5 MRS respectively). Indicate where the aforementioned costs are reflected.
Responses to these questions should be submitted no later than 7 September 2012. Please contact Kay Saicheua (kay.saicheua@crtc.gc.ca) at (819) 934-1358 should you have any questions in regard to this letter.
Yours sincerely,
