Re: Request for extension for filing the wireless number portability (WNP) implementation plan
Dear Sir:
In a letter dated 23 February 2012, Rogers Communications Partnership (RCP) formally requested that Sogetel inc. (Sogetel) implement wireless number portability (WPN) within the exchanges of Beauceville and Nicolet. In accordance with Telecom Decision 2008-122,[1] Sogetel inc. is required to file an implementation plan within 30 days of receiving a formal, signed expression of interest from a wireless carrier requesting WNP within the small incumbent local exchange carrier’s territory.
The Commission received an application by Sogetel dated 19 March 2012 to push back the date by which it must file its implementation plan, as it was not able to find some of the information it needed in order to evaluate and prepare the plan. The company requested that the Commission grant it an additional 10 days to file the plan.
Commission staff considers that it would be appropriate to extend the deadline set for Sogetel for the filing of its implementation plan to 10 days beyond the initial 30-day deadline established for this undertaking.
Yours sincerely,
