Re:  Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership’s Tariff Notice 390A and Bell Canada’s Tariff Notice 7337A – Introduction of Access to 9-1-1 ALI Information

Dear Sirs:

The Commission received applications by Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada (collectively, the Bell companies), dated 6 December 2011, in which they proposed changes to item 1400 – 9-1-1 Public Emergency Reporting Service of their respective General Tariffs, in order to introduce Access to 9-1-1 Automatic Location Identification (ALI) Information.  The Bell companies filed amendments to their applications on 13 January 2012.

Commission staff is continuing its analysis of these applications and submitted Requests for Information to the Bell companies on 6 March 2012.

Consequently, these applications, along with all associated subsequent revisions, will not be disposed of on the 45th business day following receipt.  The Commission intends to dispose of these applications, along with all associated subsequent revisions, by the second quarter of 2012.
