Re:  Process request with respect to Review and Vary Application of Telecom Decision 2011-24, Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada – Monthly recurring rates and service charge rates for unbundled loops in Ontario and Quebec

Dear Mr. Palmer:

Commission staff has received a request from Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada (the Bell companies), dated 27 September 2011 for an extension to the time provided to respond to interrogatories posed by Commission staff in this proceeding from 27 September 2011 to 12 October 2011.

Commission staff notes that in addition to the interrogatories that were originally due on 27 September 2011, further interrogatories are required to assess the reasonableness of the Bell companies’ proposed changes to the cost of removal estimates. Hence, Commission staff requests that responses to the interrogatories attached to this letter as well as responses to the interrogatories originally due on 27 September 2011 be filed on 19 October 2011.

Consistent with the guidelines set out in Broadcasting and Telecom Information Bulletin CRTC 2010-959, copies of interrogatory responses are to be served on parties to the proceeding that led to Telecom Decision 2011-24.

Yours truly,
