RE: Review of price cap regulatory framework for Northwestel Inc. and related matters, Telecom Notice of Consultation 2011-302 and 2011-302-1 – request for extension
The Commission is in receipt of a letter dated 9 August 2011 from Northwestel Inc. (Northwestel) regarding the above noted proceeding. In its letter, Northwestel requested an extension to the date by which it is to respond to requests for disclosure of information that the company filed in confidence with the Commission and to requests for further responses to certain interrogatories filed by Northwestel on 2 August 2011.
In support of its request, Northwestel submitted that, due to limited resources available, the number of requests for disclosure and further responses, and because 15 August 2011 is a statutory holiday in the Yukon, it would not be able to respond to these requests by 15 August 2011. Northwestel requested that the filing date be extended to 18 August 2011.
After careful consideration, Commission staff considers it appropriate to modify the date by which Northwestel must respond to the requests for disclosure of information and to the requests for further responses to certain interrogatories. Northwestel’s responses must be filed with the Commission and served on all parties by no later than 17 August 2011. All remaining dates set out in Telecom Notice of Consultation 2011-302, as modified by 2011-302-1, are unchanged.
