Re: Clarification of certain aspects of Telecom Order CRTC 2011-377 Interim rates for wholesale residential and business high-speed access services
The Commission has received a Part I application from Canadian Network Operators Consortium Inc. (CNOC) dated 4 July 2011 outlining concerns it has with respect to the interpretation taken by Shaw Communications Inc. (Shaw), Quebecor Media Inc., on behalf of its affiliate Videotron G.P., (Videotron) and Rogers Communications Partnership (Rogers) in implementing the determinations set out in Telecom Order CRTC 2011-377. CNOC has requested that the Commission address these matters on an expedited basis given the interim rates are to be effective 14 July 2011.
In light of the short time frame when the new interim rates, terms and conditions are scheduled to come into effect, the Commission considers it reasonable to amend the standard timelines outlined in the CRTC Rules of Practice and Procedure. Shaw, Videotron, Rogers, as well as any other party to the proceeding initiated by Telecom Notice of Consultation 2011-77 wishing to comment on CNOC’s application, are to file their response or intervention with the Commission by no later than 12 July 2011. CNOC is to file its reply no later than 15 July 2011.
Where a document is to be filed or served by a specific date, the document must be actually received, and not merely sent, by that date. Copies of the documents should also be sent to Tom Vilmansen (tom.vilmansen@crtc.gc.ca).
