Dear Sirs:
Re: Telecom Decision CRTC 2010-693 – Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limted Partnership and Bell Canada – Proposed revisions to the Interconnection Agreement for the Provision of 9-1-1 Service to a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (Decision 2010-693) – Request for Extension
In Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada – Proposed revision to the Interconnection Agreement for the Provision of 9-1-1 Service to a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier, Telecom Decision CRTC 2010-693, 17 September 2010, the Commission directed Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada (the Bell companies) to file their revised Interconnection Agreement for the Provision of 9-1-1 Service to a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) (the CLEC 9-1-1 Agreement), as amended by paragraphs 21 and 25 of that Decision, for Commission approval by 18 October 2010.
By way of letter dated 15 October 2010, Commission staff accepted a request form the Bell companies for an extension to the filing dates identified in the Decision.
On 18 November 2010, the Bell companies filed their revised CLEC 9-1-1 Agreement with the Commission. However, the Bell Companies requested an extension to the answer and reply periods, noting that the dates for these fall within the Christmas vacation period. Accordingly, the Bell companies requested that comments from interested parties be due on 7 January 2011, and the Bell companies’ reply be due on 17 January 2011.
Commission staff considers the Bell companies’ request to be reasonable in the circumstances. Accordingly, interested parties may file comments on the revised CLEC 9-1-1 Agreement by 7 January 2010 and the Bell companies may file their reply by 17 January 2010.
Where a document is to be filed or served by a specific date, the document must be actually received, not merely sent, by that date.
Yours sincerely,
‘Original signed by S. Bédard’
