Obligation to serve and other matters

Online consultation on issues related to the obligation to serve proceeding
1. To facilitate further dialogue among Canadians, the Commission is conducting an online consultation on issues related to the obligation to serve proceeding.[1] PubliVate, on behalf of the Commission, will host an independent website that will allow the public to engage in discussion on issues and questions relating to this proceeding.
2. The site is open for postings beginning the date of this notice and ending 20 August 2010. Participation details are available on the website.
3. Following the online consultation period, transcripts will be available on the Commission’s website at www.crtc.gc.ca. The record of the online consultation will be made part of the record of this proceeding.
Change of oral hearing date
4. With this notice, the Commission also amends the date established in Telecom Notice of Consultation 2010-43-1 for the commencement of the oral hearing regarding the obligation to serve and other matters. The hearing will now begin in Timmins, Ontario on 26 October 2010 rather than 25 October 2010.
