The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the Type B Native radio programming undertaking CKWE-FM Maniwaki from 1 January 20091 to 31 August 2015. The licence will be subject to the conditions set out therein as well as to the conditions set out in the appendix to this decision. |

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application. |

The licence will be issued to the Radio Broadcaster of the Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation Band, authorizing Eleanor Whiteduck in her capacity as the Radio Broadcaster of the Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation Band, and any subsequent person2 occupying that position, to operate the aforementioned undertaking. |

Conditions of licence |
|
1. In each broadcast week, a minimum of 35% of all musical selections from category 2 (Popular Music) shall be devoted to Canadian selections broadcast in their entirety.
|

2. The licensee shall adhere to the Canadian Association of Broadcasters' Equitable Portrayal Code, as amended from time to time and approved by the Commission. However, the application of the foregoing condition of licence will be suspended if the licensee is a member in good standing of the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council.

3. The licensee shall adhere to the Canadian Association of Broadcasters' Broadcast Code for Advertising to Children, as amended from time to time and approved by the Commission.

Encouragement |
|
The Commission encourages the licensee, should it wish to broadcast wrap-around programming after its daily sign-off, to use programming obtained from another Native radio station or network. |

In Administrative renewals, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2008-245, 29 August 2008, the Commission administratively renewed CKWE-FM's licence from 1 September 2008 to 31 December 2008.
That person must be eligible to hold a broadcasting licence in accordance with the Direction to the CRTC (Ineligibility of Non-Canadians), P.C. 1997-486, 8 April 1997, as amended by P.C. 1998-1268, 15 July 1998. The Commission must be advised in writing when the person occupying this position changes.
