BookTelevision - Licence amendment

1. The Commission approves the application by CTVglobemedia Inc., on behalf of its subsidiary CTV Limited1, to amend the broadcasting licence for the national Category 1 English-language specialty television programming undertaking known as BookTelevision, in order to add category 11 General entertainment and human interest to the list of programming categories from which the licensee may draw its programming.
2. The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

1 The present application was originally filed by CTVglobemedia Inc., on behalf of its subsidiary Learning and Skills Television of Alberta Limited. Subsequently, in ACCESS - The Education Station, BookTelevision and CourtTV Canada - Acquisition of assets (Corporate reorganization), Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2008‑141, 14 July 2008, the Commission approved the acquisition of the assets of BookTelevision by CTV Limited.
