Application No. 2007-0853-9
Application by The Haliburton Broadcasting Group Inc. (HBG) to amend the licence of the commercial English-language radio programming undertaking CKNR-FM Elliot Lake, Ontario.
The licensee proposes to add an FM transmitter at Elliot Lake to broadcast the programming of CKNR-FM in order to adequately serve the population of Elliot Lake.
The transmitter would operate on frequency 98.7 MHz (channel 254LP) with an effective radiated power of 50 watts (non-directional antenna/effective antenna height of -5 metres).

Application Nos. 2007-0909-0 and 2007-0910-8
Applications by Standard Radio Inc. (Standard) to amend the licence of the English-language commercial radio programming undertaking CKXR-FM Salmon Arm, British Columbia.
The licensee proposes to add FM transmitters at Enderby and Sicamous, British Columbia to broadcast the programming of CKXR-FM, in order to serve the population of these locations.
The transmitter at Enderby would operate on frequency 104.3 MHz (channel 282A1) with an effective radiated power of 210 watts (non-directional antenna/effective antenna height of 84 metres).
The transmitter at Sicamous would operate on frequency 102.1 MHz (channel 271A1) with an effective radiated power of 200 watts (non-directional antenna/effective antenna height of-169.2 metres).
The licensee advises that when the AM station CKXR Salmon Arm switched to the FM band and commenced broadcasting in November 2006, several communities that previously enjoyed service from CKXR no longer received the signal due primarily to the mountainous topography of the region.
Standard further states that it applied to the Commission to continue the simulcast period of the programming of CKXR-FM on the AM station CKXR which was approved in Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2007-122, 2 May 2007, in order to ensure that service could be maintained in these communities until such time as FM repeaters could be installed.
