CHNK-FM Winnipeg - Notice of technical certification amending the authorized technical parameters

1.

In CHNK-FM - Technical change, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2007-416, 6 December 2007 (Broadcasting Decision 2007-416), the Commission approved an application by Newcap Radio Manitoba Inc. to change the authorized contours of the radio programming undertaking CHNK-FM Winnipeg by increasing the effective radiated power (ERP) from 1,300 watts to an average ERP of 60,200 watts, by increasing the effective antenna height to 176.1 metres, and by relocating the transmitter.

2.

The Commission has now received the technical evaluation comments (TA) from the Department of Industry, which indicates that the average ERP authorized in the TA is 60,900 watts.

3.

Consequently, the Commission replaces paragraph 1 of Broadcasting Decision 2007-416 by the following:

The Commission approves the application by Newcap Radio Manitoba Inc. (Newcap) to change the authorized contours of the radio programming undertaking CHNK-FM Winnipeg by increasing the effective radiated power (ERP) from 1,300 watts to an average ERP of 60,900 watts, by increasing the effective antenna height to 176.1 metres, and by relocating the transmitter.
