Dear Ms. Clancy:

Re: Aliant Telecom Tariff Notice 154 - General Tariff

This is further to Aliant Telecom's ("Aliant" or "the company") application filed under Tariff Notice 154 requesting approval of its proposed introduction of Voice Messaging Services, Item 310.1 to the Aliant Telecom General Tariff, CRTC 21491 in order to migrate voice messaging services currently contained in the individual company tariffs. Aliant also proposed removing several items from General Tariff CRTC 10001, General Tariff CRTC 11001, Special Services Tariff CRTC 12002, and General Tariff CRTC 13001.

Commission staff notes that several errors have been made in migrating the items in the individual company tariffs to the Aliant Telecom General Tariff, including inconsistent use of service names and incorrect references. Further, changes have been made to the migrated tariffs which were not addressed in the cover letter.

In light of the above, we are unable to proceed. Consequently, this application is closed.

The Commission is open to examining a new application from the company which addresses the information noted above.   The application must be filed under cover of a new tariff notice. The company is free to contact the Commission should it require further information.

Sincerely,

'Original signed by S. Hutton'
