Application by Vidéotron ltée, CF Cable TV Inc. and Videotron (Regional) Ltd. (collectively referred to as Vidéotron) to amend the licences of its cable distribution undertakings serving the above-mentioned locations. | |
Vidéotron proposes to distribute the signals of two distant Canadian stations, CFTO-DT (CTV Toronto) and CIII-DT-41 (Global Toronto), exclusively as part of its digital service and in high definition (HD), until similar Montreal network stations begin broadcasting in HD. | |
The licensee states that the carriage of these signals would enhance the diversity of Canadian programming in these markets. | |
CFTO-DT (CTV Toronto) and CIII-DT-41 (Global Toronto) confirm that they will not accept local advertising from these distant markets. | |
This application supersedes application 2003-1772-8, which was published in Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2004-31 on 5 May 2004. | |
