Telecom Order CRTC 2004-303

  Ottawa, 3 September 2004

North Renfrew Telephone Company Limited

  Reference: Tariff Notice 25

Service work charge for installing additional jacks

The Commission received an application by North Renfrew Telephone Company Limited (North Renfrew), dated 26 July 2004, to revise item 2, Multi-Element Service Charges, under section 110 of its General Tariff in order to introduce a $20 premise service work charge for installing additional jacks that would apply to residential and business customers.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission notes that in Regulatory framework for the small incumbent telephone companies, Decision CRTC 2001-756, 14 December 2001, it determined that the rates for services of this type could increase to any already approved rate for the same service.

The Commission further notes that the proposed rate is equal to the rate previously approved for Westport Telephone Company Limited for the same service in Telecom Order CRTC 2004-199, 18 June 2004.

The Commission approves North Renfrew's application. The revisions take effect as of 1 October 2004.

North Renfrew is to issue a revised tariff page forthwith to reflect this changes.
