  The Commission will hold a public hearing commencing on 29 November 2004 at 9:00 a.m., at the Commission Headquarters, 1 Promenade du Portage, Gatineau, Quebec, to consider the following applications. The deadline for submission of interventions/comments is 5 November 2004.

  Application by Sound of Faith Broadcasting to amend the licence of radio programming undertaking CJTW-FM Kitchener.
  The licensee proposes to amend the licence by changing the frequency from 94.3 MHz (channel 232LP) to 106.7 MHz (channel 294A) of its transmitter CJTW-FM Kitchener. The licensee also proposes to change the authorized contours byincreasingthe effective radiated power from 50 watts to 1,585 watts, and the antenna height (non-directional antenna/antenna height 58 metres).
  The licensee wishes to increase the quality of the signal of the station.
  The Commission notes that the contour of the station would be increased significantly and that the increase in power would result in a change of the CJLX-FM's status from an unprotected low power service to a regular Class A FM station.
  This application is technically mutually exclusive with applications by Telephone City Broadcasting Limited (2003-1908-9), Bel-Roc Communications Inc. (2004-0132-3) and Larche Communications (Kitchener) Inc. (2004-0663-8) which will also be considered at this hearing.

  Application by Larche Communications (Kitchener) Inc. to amend the licence of the radio programming undertaking CIKZ-FM Kitchener-Waterloo.
  The licensee proposes to amend the licence by changing the frequency from 99.5 MHz (channel 258A) to 106.7 MHz (channel 294B1). The licensee also proposes to change the authorized contours by increasing the average effective radiated power from 1,600 watts to 2,000 watts and the antenna height from 140.1 meters to 200.3 meters.
  The authorized contour of the station would be increased significantly resulting from the proposed increase in power and increase in transmitter height.
  The licensee stated that the proposed changes would result in a better quality signal to listeners in the Kitchener-Waterloo area who are currently experiencing poor reception of CIKZ-FM.
  This application is technically mutually exclusive with applications by Telephone City Broadcast Limited (2003-1908-9), Bel-Roc Communications Inc. (2004-0132-3) and Sound of Faith Broadcasting (2004-0355-1) which will also be heard at this hearing.
