  Further to its Broadcasting Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 2004-6 dated 8 July 2004 relating to a Public Hearing which will be held on 1 November 2004 at 9:30 a.m., at the Conference Centre, Portage IV, 140 Promenade du Portage, Gatineau, Quebec, the Commission announces the following:
  THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE AMENDED AND THE CHANGES ARE IN BOLD.
  ITEM 2
  Across Canada
Application No. 2003-1885-9
  Application by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), on behalf of 4229444 Canada Inc., recently incorporated, for a broadcasting licence to carry on a national multi-channel subscription radio service, to be delivered by satellite and terrestrial transmitters, for direct reception by subscribers.
  The Commission notes that 4229444 Canada Inc. is owned by three corporations, being the CBC (40%), Standard Radio Inc. (40%), an Ontario corporation and Sirius Satellite Radio (20%), a Delaware corporation (United States).
  The Commission notes that information concerning the financial resources of Standard Radio Inc. and Sirius Satellite Radio has been placed on the public file for this application.
  ITEM 3
  Across Canada
Application No. 2004-0133-1
  Application by CHUM Limited (CHUM) and Astral Media Radio inc. (Astral Media) for a broadcasting licence to carry on a national multi-channel subscription radio services, to be delivered by terrestrial transmitters, for direct reception by subscribers.
  The Commission notes that CHUM and Astral Radio have entered into an agreement in which Astral will hold a 19.9% ownership interest in the proposed service.
  A memorandum of understanding setting out the terms and conditions of this agreement was submitted to the Commission, and has been placed on the public file for this application.
