CKQB-FM Ottawa and its FM transmitter at Pembroke - Licence renewal

1.

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CKQB-FM Ottawa and its FM transmitter at Pembroke, from 1 September 2004 to 31 August 2011. The addition of the Pembroke transmitter was approved by the Commission in CKQB-FM Ottawa - New transmitter in Pembroke, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2004-60, 30 January 2004 (Decision 2004-60).

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

The licence will be subject to the conditions set out in New licence form for commercial radio stations, Public Notice CRTC 1999-137, 24 August 1999.

The Commission reminds the licensee that the authority for the operation of its transmitter at Pembroke will only be effective when all licensing requirements set out in Decision 2004-60 have been met.

Because this licensee is subject to the Employment Equity Act and files reports concerning employment equity with theDepartment of Human Resources and Skills Development, its employment equity practices are not examined by the Commission.
