Universal Messaging Service

1.

The Commission received an application by Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom), dated 8 April 2003, to migrate the Atlantic Provinces Telecommunications Council Regional Services Tariff item 502, Universal Messaging, to Aliant Telecom General Tariff item 316, Universal Messaging.

In its application, Aliant Telecom noted that the definitions for Universal Messaging were integrated into Aliant Telecom's General Tariff item 100, Definitions, as approved by the Commission in Terms of service and definitions, Telecom Order CRTC 2002-361, 29 August 2002.

Aliant Telecom submitted that there are no changes to the rate or conditions of service, and that the filing is strictly to migrate the service.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

5.

The Commission approves Aliant Telecom's application. The revisions take effect as of 1 June 2003.
